Background
Since 1992, CAM-I has honored the memory of Bob Bonsack, a leader and mentor to so many in Cost and Resource Management, with this annual award to recognize distinguished contribution in advancing the field of Cost Management.
During his career with KPMG, Peat Marwick, Arthur D. Little, Deloitte & Touche and EDS, Bob was also active in numerous professional societies, including SME and IIE. Within APICS, he began a chapter as President, later became Regional Vice President and ultimately their national Vice-President for Education.
The profile of Robert A. Bonsack, for whom our annual award is named, is indeed long and distinguished, but what is important to note here is that he was an active and substantial pioneer in spearheading many project teams within his years of service to the CMS program of CAM-I in the late 1980’s.
